Yesterday saw me filming and producing a video for one of the tracks from my forthcoming solo instrumental album 'Dropping like rain'…the track is called 'Burial#5'…it'll be up on youtube very soon...
'Dropping like rain' is the working title of the next solo album I'm currently working on. It is a totally instrumental work and so far I've pretty much completed 10 tracks which are very big and cinematic in the main. I think I'm aiming at 15 tracks but we'll see how we go. Having fun!
![]() So, last night The Harvs started recording a new album! We've started before and then come to a grinding halt a few tracks in but I think we may finish this time. Liam played some blinding guitar and hit all the big notes on his vocal tracks. The foundations for 5 songs got put down in quick succession and today I'm starting to flesh out a few of my bits before getting ready for starting to record The Larks new EP tonight! ...followed by short, but nevertheless lovely, performances by Richard Goddard & Donna-marie Harvey!...great work on the mob chorus!...
A short, sharp session with Mr. Geoff Sharkey to start the day off well! Just a few lines of his distinctive gravelly voice and a certain track is so much the richer for it!
Great recording session here with Paddy Stratton on friday when we laid down the basis for the final album track. Spent the entire evening putting vocals, several mandolins and some banjo onto the track. Not long now before we can start unveiling the work we've been doing for the past year and a half! So looking forward to that!

Ian HarveyI play live with The Harvs & also play several care homes in the area with my lovely friend Geoff Sharkey. Not only do people living with dementia get a lot out of it, we do too. Massively rewarding. Archives
